Meanwhile, on Earth 2, where meeting high expectations are rewarded, Andy Reid won it 4 times, including the two seasons when he won back to back Super Bowls.

I realize it's way too late for a flex, but in an ideal world these two games would be flip flopped.

It has to be maddening to follow this team. These results are completely all over the place.

Cleanup on trade details from the wire:
•The Cowboys sent the Giants' 7th to the Bengals. Still unknown if they have the Chiefs 7th.
•The Jaguars sent their own 4th and the Jets' 6th to the Raiders.
•The Browns sent the Eagles' 7th to the Bears.
November 4, 2025 at 11:04 PM
In addition to swapping a 6th rounder for a 7th and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka with the Browns, the Bears will also lose out on a 7th round compensatory pick in 2026 for the departure of Teven Jenkins, also to the Browns.
November 4, 2025 at 6:20 PM
The Ravens are absolutely loaded with 5th rounders:
•their own
•the Jets' (Tyler Baron tradeup)
•the Chargers' (Oweh/Gilman trade)
•compensatory (Patrick Mekari, can't be traded yet)
•compensatory (Brandon Stephens, can't be traded yet)

To review, only 1 of the following 4 players:

•Ifeatu Melifonwu
•Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
•Larry Borom
•Ashtyn Davis

can qualify as a compensatory agent to free up the Jevon Holland 4th rounder.

With the Dolphins at 2-7 & a new GM, would they consider limiting their snaps?
October 31, 2025 at 5:26 PM
I decided to update the snaps from Ravens/Dolphins early since my curiosity on the status of that very tenuous 4th round 2026 Dolphins compensatory pick is heightened now that Chris Grier is gone.

The 4 key players (in bright green) remain so close to the qualification bubble.

Running new money cash flows for Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper, and how they compare to standalone EDGE contracts when summed together.

Aidan Hutchinson will likely knock all those ranks down one more spot.
October 29, 2025 at 3:40 PM
And if I'm correct about this, this pick...sure has been moving around a lot.

But The Curse Of Hank Scorpio doesn't end there.

Since then, the Broncos and Cowboys have faced each other 7 times.

The Broncos have won all 7 games.
October 22, 2025 at 3:04 PM
As for the Cowboys since then?

No more Super Bowl wins.

No more Super Bowl appearances.

And even the longest active NFC Championship Game appearance drought!

And over twice as long as the next NFC team!
October 22, 2025 at 3:04 PM
But, what's happened since then?

Well, the Broncos became recognized, by the Pro Football Hall Of Fame, as a co-dynasty to the Cowboys of the 1990s, promptly winning back to back Super Bowls in 1997 and 1998 (and 2015).

Finally, DJ Reed missing time due to injury has to be frustrating to the Lions.

But there could be a very outside chance of a scenario like this that give them a 4th round 2026 compensatory pick if he continues to miss more time.
October 21, 2025 at 12:52 PM
The projection for the cutoff for qualifying as a 2026 compensatory free agent is going to be such a nightmare.

Every single player in green on this list has comp pick implications for some team.

It'll be a miracle if I have high accuracy for this draft.
October 21, 2025 at 12:39 PM
Here's what that cancellation chart looks like: just like last offseason, just settling for the top 3rd round compensatory pick for a quarterback that left in free agency.
October 20, 2025 at 12:50 PM
Blake Cashman's return took snaps away not from Eric Wilson, but Ivan Pace Jr.

That combined with Trent Sherfield only getting 11% of the offensive snaps for the Broncos inches the Vikings closer to their worst case 2026 compensatory pick scenario.
October 20, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Something does not compute here.
October 15, 2025 at 4:26 PM
With LAR/BAL going south due to the Ravens' injuries, would Fox consider a 3-2 Seahawks team that just lost a thrilling close game versus a 4-1 Jaguars team that just beat KC in similarly thrilling fashion?

Nope! Just default to the same ol' America's Cowboys Game Of The Week™!
October 8, 2025 at 10:19 PM
Three of these players within one game right now, three of these other players within one team right now.
October 5, 2025 at 9:40 PM
So the 41st name will be added to the infamous Browns jersey...
October 1, 2025 at 12:29 PM
Had that happened, the Cardinals would have gotten a 6th round compensatory pick in 2018, and the Vikings a 7th rounder, instead of the other way around.
September 30, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Adrian Peterson barely got enough total snaps (27%) on the season to get a boost for it. The minimum is 25%.

If it was split between teams, his contract would have been valued as a 7th rounder instead of a 6th.

And the answer, per the wire:
