The city spent down its reserves and built ASSETS. They did shit. I swear these old men would have us hoard our fucking nickels and build a city of sackcloth and sawdust. What the fuck is the point of any of this if the goal is just to preside over the slow decay of our roads & parking lots? #yqrcc

Citymgr: We can engage w/ first nations about funding streams. But this is *for them, from us*. We have to be careful that we're not asking first nations to fund something to recognize what they were subjected through 150 years of history. #yqrcc

You know, if we had decent transit, on those bad snow days, residents could use the bus for a couple of days and not have to deal with the snow while the city works through the clearing plan. No, you don't get your car keys taken away forever if you take a bus one day. #yqr

Citymgr: Coincidentally, a former ward 3 councillor, Fred Clipsham, would stand up every budget & said "deferred maintenance is deferred taxes and that bell will be rung someday." #yqrcc

Bike Regina notes we move with the transportation options that are available to us. If there aren't buses or bike lanes we take cars. #yqrcc

Conservatives will grasp at every straw, count every penny to make a sustainability measure seem too expensive to contemplate. Meanwhile, they ignore that much of the work municipalities do in a day is to subsidize car ownership. #yqrcc

If they cared about the environment, they could do bike lanes, but they don't.

When there isn't a sidewalk usually people just walk in the road/street. This will statistically impact pedestrian safety.

It feels like we're only capable of making things worse, never better. It's exhausting.
