A key question is - why isn't outside air temperature modulation of the flow set point standard on UK boilers? Adds a little to the cost, but would save users £££.

Perhaps we need to think about better controlling solar gain and heat gain in our buildings, before diving into AC. 2/2

Electricity for air con, if it is from a clean grid, is fine. However, the grid is not yet clean, and the refrigerant could be problematic if it has a global warming potential (gwp) and leaks. There's also the issue of added load on the network in the middle of the day from AC. 1/2
