What I mean is, it seems like the lawsuit threat to the BBC and the BBC's cave has brought more attention to what Trump is threatening to sue about - exactly the opposite of what he wants.

EVEN IF it worked to make cars safer, EVEN IF they passed the regulatory rollback, it's not some dude at a factory will flip a switch saying "no safeties" and immediately prices would fall. This is magical thinking.

The economy is *theirs* now, and the shutdown helped handcuff them to it, especially with tariffs and healthcare. They can't ignore it but they can't disavow their own policies, so yeah. They're fucked, and I wish them all the pleasure of owning this shitshow.
