Thank god, I didn't have to create 84 Steam statistics by hand 😄 I copied cookie and payload value from browser to a little PHP script with cURL instead.

Now achievements are all up and running 💪

I've started to implement a debug menu customized for my game. With this I can now unlock Steam achievements and set stats with a single button click or print out store variables 🎉

I added 20 stats, count them up whenever the player fixes an anomaly & if all 20 stats have the value 1 - an achievement is unlocked. Yay!

But then I added a stat to count the achievement progress ("You fixed 5 of 20"). And #GodotSteam just won't count this damn stat up 😭

Could somebody explain how to create Steam achievements that count up? Like you have to find all 20 anomalies before the achievement is unlocked, but you can check how many you already got. Do I have to combine achievements with statistics here? Is this possible at all?

I really don't like the fact that the majority of #gamedev tutorials is in video form nowadays :(

I love working on my game while sitting on the couch with my wife, watching a movie, YouTube or whatever.

I don't have time to skip through endless videos and find the part I need 😭

Dont know why my game demo was declined for Scream Fest :/ it has the horror tag, paranormal activities, demons, some kind of jumpscare and a tense atmosphere...is it because of the "cute" pixelart?

Looks like after I upgraded my NAS to 1TB SSD last year, I forgot to allocate the new space. That's why my docker containers ran into "Too few space disk" although I have 800GB free space 🤦

For the next indie game, I will make sure to document everything I do 🙈 Like I totally forgot to which content creators I've already reached out via Google Form or mail (social media is easier because you can see the inbox history).

I've got my new favourite way for your computer to get hacked.

The web page adds command to your clipboard (Copy) and then tries to get you to run the command on your computer under the guise of Human Verification.
Pop up dialog box from Website: Human Verification Follow 3 Quick Steps to verify you're not a robot: 1 - Press [Windows Key] + [R] 2 - Press [Ctrl] + [V] 3 - Press [Enter] to verify. * This quick check keeps our platform secure and protects against automated spam. You will only need to do it once.

Episode 5 of the #20_games_challenge is completed.

I made a multiplayer Tetris game with the #godot multiplayer API. It's actually quite simple to use.

At least it works on my local machine. I didn't test it remotely because I don't have any friends.

Map 3 is done 🎉 That means I already started to build the final map 😱 I will need some play testers soon (anybody up for hard mode? 😬 ). Once we nail the last bugs, the game can be released.

Someday as soon as my game is released I thought about releasing an Android build, too. But I don't know if there's a market for hidden object games on mobile devices 🤔 And I never published anything to Play store. I need to take a closer look at this.

I finally finished implementing map 2 for #FindThisPixelAnomaly 🎉 And even started map 3 😱 Would be crazy if I could finish map 4 before Halloween, but I guess Steam wouldn't be fast enough to review the game anyway 😄

Marketing sucks for gamedevs. Keeping track of all the mails I sent to content creators is hard, so I wrote a tool to send & log these. I can even add variables which are replaced in the mail texts.

Small docker, only runs on my local machine. Gets the job done, I guess 💪
