Looking forward to seeing PLAYING SHYLOCK with Saul Rubinek tonight at Brooklyn's Polonsky Shakespeare Center! As a Jewish person, my thoughts on one of the Bard's most famous characters are complicated, and I'm happy there's a whole show about it!

I had the pleasure of reading an ARC of DIGITAL INC. by Richard Curtis, a history of the e-book revolution by someone who was not only there from the start but... (1/6)

Alexa and I enjoyed HAUNTED HOTEL, an animated series about a single mom who inherits a hotel full of demons and ghosts, all of which are color characters, although Abaddon, a demon tapped in the body of a 9-year-old boy from Colonial times, is the standout. (1/2)

We took a walk in Kew Garden's Maple Grove Cemetery yesterday. I was struck by the turtles at the pond all gathering at the foot of the goose statue. I also photographed two monuments, one an angel on top of a rock, and the other for the grave of a dead child, which I found both creepy and sad.

Tonight's movie was APRIL FOOL'S DAY! "Muffy hasn't been in an institution for three years, she's been at Vassar!"

Tonight's movie was SLEEPAWAY CAMP, which features this all-timer of a putdown: "She's a real carpenter's dream, flat as a board and in need of a good screw!" (Spoken by Judy, the best character, who eats the scenery in every scene!)

R.I.P. Diane Ladd, who, despite a long and distinguished career, I always associate with David Lynch's WILD AT HEART for some reason.

Noodle definitely didn't want to be at the vet's today for her annual checkup. I couldn't help laughing when she tried to escape by jumping into the exam room's mini fridge! Of course we had to take a picture!

My newest acquisition from the Twisted Spine! (Cassandra Peterson has come a long way since steaming fish in the dishwasher--a trick Vincent Price himself taught her!)

Halloween is just one week away! I'd better start stocking up on candy for me...um, I mean for the trick-or-treaters! Yeah, trick-or-treaters! That's the ticket!

Three months later, the entire east wing of the White House has been completely demolished. Just another lie. Just another slap in the face to the American people, half of whom will still applaud it. (2/2)

I've noticed that most movies have no idea what happens at an author reading. (1/3)

I watched THE BLACKENING, a fun horror-comedy that occasionally borders on spoof. It's got a clever script, fun characters, and a great cast. I've seen enough movies to have guessed who was behind the killings pretty early on, but there was still plenty to keep me watching. Recommended!

Last night's Yeah You Write readings by @christaqua.bsky.social and @claymcleod.bsky.social were great! Here are photos of some of the less crazy things that happened (guest starring @robertlevy.bsky.social)!

I can think of no better metaphor for our times than Donald Tru mp demolishing the White House after lying about it.
