Ultima Online didn't have a hot tub house decoration exactly, but many people were creative in their placement of items to fake them.

The British get credit for so much stuff just let Canada have this one

Yeah, I'm still very pissed off about the SAT denying my kid an accommodation because the neurologist recommendation wasn't good enough for them, they wanted raw test results to analyze themselves and determine if extra time was acceptable.
Fuck them, fuck all of that.

And also, yes, there should be room for LOTS of variety in the MtG book world - if they want a robust set of books to help showcase the worldbuilding, they should include a lot of genres in the books! YA romantasy seems like it would be a great fit in the portfolio, honestly.

What a really weird comment all around. That blurb really just reads to me as "main character has a love interest." I never read the early MtG novels, but if at least one of, say, the first 5 books doesn't have a love interest, I'll eat one of those books.

Yeah I had opinions on what one of the groups should be. Those opinions were wrong. I'd even noticed 2 of the blue group as that group, and still blanked on it for a while.

And THEN PR gets wind of it all and says oh shit, the one thing we ABSOLUTELY need to get a statement on is the 3-d printed meat thing, and then oh yeah mumble mumble if the recording is even real then that's not a very nice thing to say about our employees in other countries. Or our customers, yeah
November 26, 2025 at 5:57 AM
The whole Campbell's situation is batshit. Some exec gets recorded going on a racist rant about his employees and also hates the customers, and somehow HR manages to do nothing at all and lets them fire the guy who raised the complaint? HR has one job here, don't let them retaliate fire the dude.
November 26, 2025 at 5:55 AM
Reading this guy's last threads on the matter is horrifying, not because of the homebuilding but because it sounds like he's neck deep in some LLM-supplied fantasy land.
He's "creating an in real-life block chain" and a "Decentralized building methodology".
November 26, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Whole thing is a disaster. Exec gets recorded running his mouth off. HR does nothing and even lets them fire the guy who filed a complaint. PR now thinks the thing they need to fix the most is the accusation of using "3-d printed chicken" rather than everything else he said.
November 26, 2025 at 1:22 AM
Yup. LLMs aren't trained to be correct, they are trained to sound plausible. So they're getting better at it, which is nice from a machine learning academic standpoint? But it's awful that they're actually in use in society. Let them be an academic curiosity and nothing more.
