This is the result of many, many tried and failed attempts to capture what I wanted to make at this location. I must have been to this spot over twenty times during the last year. I think it was worth the wait and persistence.

If you're after a very late astro session tomorrow morning - 16th December: Ganymede and its shadow transit Jupiter's disc between 01:42 and 04:55 UT. Should be a nice sight through a telescope and a good target for planetary imagers. Graphic from Stellarium. #Astronomy #Astrophotography
