This is one of the reasons I'm glad I left Twitter/X. I found myself in that Transgender/LGBTQ debate on there. The trans people on X and LGBs on there are equally nuts. They make polls and statements that are violent and vile. There's always this sort of thing with them.

I'm going to begin posting short stories to Substack soon. I was due to publish one in April, but something was wrong with the file. May as well make use of Substack, haha.

Also, congratulations everyone who made something this year. A comic, a song, a film, a novel, a painting, a poem, a short story, a sculpture, crochet, embroidery, whatever it is. In this era of slop and theft, if you *make* something you are a shining jewel and I am so grateful for you.

Made it out to a small one day con today. Came back with one piece of original art, four treasuries, two graphic novels, one magazine, thirty comic books, and no cash left in my wallet.

Feels like a win!

I honestly prefer this app to X. At least people actually have a conversation here. And about other things, I'm allegedly expected to see in the algorithm or be expected to bite my lip on.

I think what I like most about writing is being able to create my own world. Not just the characters, but the world they're in.

Woke up at 3 in the morning and began work on putting my manuscript together. I'm going to type it all up throughout the next few weeks, so just files right now. Spent a year and a half working on this.

Already got a rough outline for a sequel, but I'll see how this does when it's done and out.

X/Twitter has become a terrible place. I tried it for a full year and a half again, but I was tired of it lately. I made good friends on there. However, I couldn't take it any longer.

Virtue signaling activists, cross-dressers and that TERF movement became a reason to leave. It was all tiring.
Twitter now displays where accounts are from and it has confirmed that too many of the political accounts are out of country bots.

Why are folks still there? To argue with bots? A waste of precious time while enriching the richest man on Earth.

Delete your account.

Let's talk about my favorite 'remake', The Thing (1982).

Haunting, horrifying, powerful. From cult classic to true modern classic, one of the scariest movies ever made.

Then there is The Thing from Another World (1951), which more closely follows the story 'Who Goes There?'
Who's seen them either?
