That line - about Shakespeare in the original Klingon - exploded like a bomb in then tiny (well, tiny-er) Klingon language community, setting off much intellectual foment. It inspired the "recovery" of the Klingon Hamlet, of course, and widened people's conceptions of what could be translated.

The Shakespeare references are obvious in ST6 but less well remembered are the many allusions to the Klingons (or at least some Klingons) as Nazis. It was in this movie that the set designers came up with this visually - um - arresting treatment of the Imperial trefoil.
