I post the triathlon news stories that you won't read about in the other main sports news. I'm particularly interested in how the sport is developing across the world.

I'm not a triathlete now, but I was for 20+ years. Raced in the UK, USA, Germany etc.
and that doesn't even include those on the sport administration side like Jasmine Flatters, MBE, also Dame Sarah Springman as well many others.

Springman, whom I briefly clashed with in 2004, was one of the key architects of the mixed relay format and key to it's inclusion in the Olympics. So yeah.

Kate Waugh, a resurgent Jess Learmonth, along with the 2025 retiree/friend Jodie Stimpson and of course the current grande dame Beth Potter - plus Coldwell, Mathias, Rainsley - all likely inspired by Wellington, Cave and Dibens plus tens of thousands of age group women.

Success isn't a vacuum!

The British continue to dominate in long course womens triathlon, as well as being leaders in short course racing. Largely stemming from Leanda Cave and Julie Dibens in the early 2000's, Helen Jenkins, and the 2010's @brittri.bsky.social program Inc. Vicky Holland, Non Stanford, Georgia TB

FYI. Please stop using bit.ly - eventually they'll get acquired or go away and at that point all your links from social media will be broken.

You can run your own URL shortener, they are a couple of well used open source programs you can add directly to your own website. Thanks.

Do you have to pay for a VISA or does an ESTA still suffice?

Also, it's no long term solution since the whole middle east will likely become unlivable. But hey here's a $40 million bung to talk positively about us. #sportswashing

The race course itself was just a massive construction site, every time the TV coverage did a long distance pan to Dubai is was unfocussed because of the heat and pollution.

Which is all understandable when you've read this

Thanks for the share it's a fascinating read. I honestly wish it could happen but there is such a big gap between where we are and where we need to get.

There are an estimated half million people in billing and records, that's a great way to save money, they will need some form of UBI though.

Well the results should be fun, time for a Chris froome starts winning again... As it confuses results from 10-years ago as 2026 was on the same page somewhere

Yes and No. Medicare without the add-on parts doesn't really cover lots of things. When people say "Medicare for all" it's often the case they don't know the difference between Medicare and single payer healtcare

It sort of works. I pay $189 pcm for a United Healthcare HMO plan. My five mail order drugs are free. They require a PCP referral and a United approval B4 seeing most specialists. United still denied my knee replacement until late night Sunday before the surgery. I still have a deductible and co-pay
