whoa The Great Redneck Hope getting a write-up in 2025. A short-lived CO Springs band made up of ex-members called Signatures opened for Converge once. They had copies of ‘Behold the Fuck Thunder’ (recorded by Kurt Ballou) on vinyl at their table and I flipped out, snagged it for probably 10 bucks.

Moving out soon and reminiscing on high school and early college years when I was really into Glassjaw. First album has embarrassing lyrics obv. but these days I crack myself up by singing along to them with an exaggerated Long Island bro accent, i.e. “Even the FAWTHA, you fuckin’ HOO-WAH”.

We reached the end of Super Game Boy enhanced Donkey Kong (1994) for the first time ever. How did I enjoy the game? It was bananas.

Dang. Great run of records and live shows. I snagged 'Love' on release ten years ago and listened to it a shit ton for about two years. Not long before that, I had gotten really into Jeff Buckley's 'Sketches' and it didn't dawn on me for a long time that Parker Kindred also played on 'Love'. RIP.

Last night at Dinosaur Jr. at the Bellwether (night 2) there were a slew of incredible guests, including a one song Heavy Blanket reunion, Stooges cover with Kim Gordon, and “In a Jar” with MJ Lenderman. So many phones went up for Kim Gordon, and hardly any for MJ lol, old crowd don’t know him (yet)

Last night at Dinosaur Jr. at the Bellwether (night 2) there were a slew of incredible guests, including a one song Heavy Blanket reunion, Stooges cover with Kim Gordon, and “In a Jar” with MJ Lenderman. So many phones went up for Kim Gordon, and hardly any for MJ lol, old crowd don’t know him (yet)
Visiting my folks/family in Dallas and finished 'Return to Monkey Island' with one of my brothers over Thanksgiving weekend. We first played 'The Curse of Monkey Island' on PC as youngins in 1998, so we go way back with our boy Guybrush Threepwood. I can't recommend this game/series enough.

Visiting my folks/family in Dallas and finished 'Return to Monkey Island' with one of my brothers over Thanksgiving weekend. We first played 'The Curse of Monkey Island' on PC as youngins in 1998, so we go way back with our boy Guybrush Threepwood. I can't recommend this game/series enough.
