Meanwhile, we have a Type 2 Diabetes epidemic in the US because most doctors don't know it's caused by carbohydrates, eating between meals, etc. Wouldn't cost $2.2B to send an email informing them.

Exactly, and this is also why Mexico sends so many workers to the US to take crappy jobs - they are ruled by oligarchs. Not sure why the US/world media doesn't ever mention this.

This is how my generation (boomers) thought about 1984 and 2000.
I know times are bad because any date from the future (2034, 2078, 2026) sounds like it could be the title of a post-apocalyptic movie.

Well, how many sports stadiums has Milwaukee funded instead of mitigating known sources of lead for their most vulnerable residents over the decades? Maybe the millionaire owners and athletes will have a fundraiser and clean up the mess.
