DMG page 44: ...If the area has a point of origin, choose an intersection of squares or hexes to be the point of origin, then follow its rules as normal. If an area of effect covers at least half a square or hex, the entire square or hex is affected.

I keep running into dnd 2024 things I'm just not crazy about. Like weapon mastery. It's fine I guess. Adds more die rolling. More gimmicks for pc's, whatever, okay. But for the most part monsters don't really have any new toys on their end.

I don't know that I really considered it an RPG in the classical sense. I played it and it was kind of fun it was different, I don't know that I think of it as an RPG

The maps are 17x22, which is enough space for common skirmishes and ramdom battles. They are labeled so they are easy to find in the box and include a booklet with pictures for quick reference.

The case is sturdy, really well crafted with a magnetic lid. The battlemaps are equally sturdy, not as strong as a flip-mat, but close. And coated with material to allow dry erase use.
