This is a 397-year-old Greenland Shark, born in 1627! It is the old living vertebrate known on the planet. In his younger days he went drinking with Charles II, Isaac Newton and JS Bach. He once told Samuel Pepys to "fuck off, diary cunt".

I love that Amanda & Alan’s Spanish job is in my beloved Andalucía, but the distances to the places they ‘pop’ to are ludicrous! Lanjarón is not a ‘nearby village’ to Moclín - it’s an hour’s drive, and there are way closer beaches to visit than the one they went to in Cadiz over 3.5 hours away.

We had a ‘welcome to the street’ party for him last night with several neighbours present. All residents have called round all least once to meet him. He has lived here for less than 48 hours and knows more of the neighbours than I do. 😂
An update on my neighbour’s new puppy. He is very soft, wriggly, sociable and calm. It is difficult to photograph a dark brown wriggler in poor lighting. Everyone loves him. 🥰
