I once ran a streaming game where Matt Lillard was one of my players. Alongside the DDAL admins, Beadle (of Beadle & Grimm's!) explored Undermountain where he was chosen by a sentient ioun stone. This is a copy of the mechanics & lore for that stone!

I've recently picked up an itch to write like mad again. Between a couple projects and my own notes/ongoing thing, I think I'm around 30k words in the last 10 days. That's one benefit of work travel: I hole up in the hotel room and scribble each night.

Oh hot damn. @steamforgedgames.bsky.social is bringing back the Pressgang program for Warmachine - just announced at Adepticon in Milwaukee.
Not sure if it will cover their RPG play, but having this program return is HUGE.

I want to write more, but it's an expensive proposition. People rages against realistic prices for PDFs, scream "PDFs should be FrEe!!", etc. Time is expensive. Art is expensive, be it visual or text. I'm asking myself more and more "is publishing this worth my time?" a lot. Mental health, yo.
Customers who want the RPG industry to continue to thrive and grow outside of a handful of bigger publishers able to weather the storm of hugely increased prices on print products are going to have to become comfortable paying realistic prices for digital products. $5 PDFs aren't going to cut it.

Now that I’ve just finished my latest project for Kobold Press, I’m turning my full attention to the adventure I’m writing for Polyhedral Adventures, Premier Organiser for the D&D Adventurers League at Tabletop Scotland and other UK conventions. My adventure, Trouble at Kobold Crown, is a fun dungeon (mine) crawl set in the Mountains of Copper in Murghôm, the region of the Forgotten Realms we’ve been given to develop and set our adventures in.

D&D @ Gen Con is moving from the JW Marriott over the Lucas Oil Stadium. I think this means that they're either gonna fight the True Dungeon folks, or combine forces for what is possibly the most epic LARP event Indy has ever seen.

I've long looked at the LEGO Harry Potter kits and thought "those are pretty cool" which was immediately followed by "but JK Rowling is a piece of work".
Anyways, don't look at aliexpress. Definitely don't look at sets that are like 20% of the original price.

The ENNIES have rescinded the "we'll allow AI" stance they had adopted, which is good. BUT. Why was it permitted in the first place?

I'm considering running some Kyuss-themed D&D gamedays. Online games, running through my Kyuss content... and possibly more! Likely kick off in January.
Would be weekend games, 6 hour blocks with a break in the middle, online. Not sure that running these at our house is feasible currently, heh.
