I've appreciated Discworld novels I've read. I hadn't read Raising Steam yet, and idk why this book in particular is the most heavily exposition'd Pratchett piece I've encountered. Pure Mary-Sue energy, tension elides, everything goes the way of the self-congratulatory main characters..

I have incarcerated comrades & loved ones who are enduring the daily torture of US prisons. They also continue to make art. When gaslighting reaches a mass scale & has power (billionaires, gov) behind it, it facilitates structural violence actually.

Wild remembering now, 2008 was when I first joined D&D Adventurer's League under the old RPGA "living campaign" system. I threw that ID card out back in like 2014 or something when I found it stuck at the back of my desk drawer. 😅
