I know it's meant in good faith but "if we just made smaller scope games and charged 20-40 dollars for them it would fix the industry" is very funny to me. indies release like 20 of those a week on steam. are you buying them? is the industry fixed? no? hm. sounds like you need a different solution

Just gonna say there are plenty of insurgent, anti-establishment candidates WITHOUT Nazi tattoos that the New Republic could have featured instead of Platner.

I am old enough to remember the era when Sony animation came in and was like rofl we're gonna steal all the talent and the other studios went, wait no you have to play the wage control game with us and that's when it got revealed.

I'm for a ton of things that are talked about in progressive spaces, and I exp the same emotions about them. But telling me I'm regressive for objecting to your hope that OpenAI runs governments of the future? You're not actually paying attention to what the AI industry is doing within gov already.
