I play shmups for the plot.
Glad you keep writing, I do enjoy your comments on games. I always make sure to take my time to read through your posts.

This is awesome! I never heard of this sequel. Thank you for highlighting it!

Bought it due to your suggestion and I'm enjoying it so far. The jank is real but also is the fun.

This is a stellar game. My only gripe was that the best way to play is M+KB, which led me to uninstall it on the steam deck.

Anyway, amazing game!

Great list as always, and for the first time I can say all of these games were either on my wishlist or have already been played.

Others that I haven't played but heard great things: Earthion, Shinobi non Grata, Fantasy Maiden Wars, Devil Blade Reboot, Angel at Dusk.

Blue Wish Desire - great and simple shmup. Played the freeware version and bought it on steam when it released. I enjoy it.

Pepper grinder - Controls really well and is very fun. Way too short tho. (note that I usually do not go for the time trials)

Since it shows regional pricing for me, I'll comment on the ones I've played:
Unsighted - stellar game. Top down metroidvania with lots of ways to explore and break the linear progression. Parry is way OP here tho. Highly recommend.

I had an experience similar to yours while playing. Something was missing or misplaced and I really couldn't pinpoint it.

Good game tho.

Too many swords! Glad to see the Oracle games getting recognition!

This seems interesting, but the only VN I've played are ace attorney and 999. I might have to give danganronpa a try first and see if it is for me.

Never heard of this forum. Gonna take a look at it

I wonder how can I import this

Curse Crakers. It seems like a simple 2D platformer but there are layers upon layers of things to do and explore. Never expected to enjoyt it as much as I did and it is now one of my favorite 2D platformer of all time.

It's really easy to get started playing Celeste mods too.

Step 1: Install Celeste
Step 2: Install Olympus/Everest - a community-made automated installer & mod loader.
Step 3: Just find the mods you want to play on Gamebanana, scroll down to Files and you'll find a '1-click install' button.

Click.

PS: If you want to read the 1,000 Years of Dreams (they're worth it!), the Lost Odyssey wiki has transcripts, or Youtuber PixelRena has visuals! (I recommend them over the dedicated "ATYoD" channel because this account goes slow enough to read along.)

Looks interesting! I gotta give it a try.

Oh, nice. I will give it a try later down the road. From what I've seen it gives a Kid Icarus vibe.
