Helping digital nomads foster relationships, master remote work, and have thrilling adventures while keeping great work-life balance ➡️ https://nerdontour.net
Every time I'm nomading, I'm reminded that the world is larger than the people I know and the places I've been. There's so much beauty, diversity, and awe.

Working from anywhere is the new luxury lifestyle people still underestimate. Try digital nomading, and see that it's more accessible than you think.

Booking dot com hides the best prices from desktop users.

They push “mobile-only” deals to get you on their app.

My hack? iPhone Mirroring. I compare desktop vs mobile side by side and always snag the cheapest rate. No switching devices. No missing deals.

Because why pay more for the same room?

If you can spend 6 hours a day on a screen.

Then you can spend 30 minutes walking in nature.

Does Perplexity keep disabling "Reasoning" in your prompts?

Probably to save costs.

But Gemini 3 Pro has reasoning built in by default. Turn it on and experience how powerful and fast it actually is.

No more random downgrades.

Hard truth: remote work can't replace office banter.

Therefore, you must be proactive about friendships. Especially the local ones.

Digital freedom shouldn't mean social isolation. That's how you address loneliness.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: The best part of nomading isn’t the tourist attractions. It’s the random café you worked from just because they played great tunes. Or the helpful stranger who lend you charger when your phone was dying. Such moments you could never plan for.

The more you nomading, the more you realize how many more cool destinations there are.

What I love about Kuala Lumpur, pt. 245:
How easy it is to order Grab food and work remotely.
November 19, 2025 at 5:06 PM
Nomads, what food do you crave from the destinations you've visited?

I can't stop thinking about Indonesia's gado-gado.

Digital nomads: trip planning isn't a vacation. Systemize visa runs, tax residency, banking, & flights. Learned this getting Portuguese residency, running UK LTD, & hopping Asia. Now I map routes around deadlines, not bucket lists. Track days, book flexible stays, & have a backup!

Wise and Revolut finally send monthly statements. Makes tracking spending ridiculously easy.

If these fintech apps suddenly collapse, I've got my financial backup.

Never thought I'd salute bank paperwork, but responsible money management requires it.

Revolut got MiCA license. Crypto on the app now has EU protection. Direct transactions, clearer fees & better safeguards. Plus, exchange up to 500 000 EUR in stablecoins monthly without fees. As a digital nomad, this transparency matters. Changes roll out Nov 25. Less to worry about.

New blog post: Walking with Piotrek is up at nerdontour dot net! Platforms get blocked, accounts vanish. Ghost Pro hosting means my vlogs stay accessible & backed up. My content, my rules.

Best nomad projects: the ones locals need. Nomads paint walls for stays or build websites for cafes they love. Project specifics don't matter. Leave a place better than you found it. Stop being a tourist, build real connections abroad.
November 8, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Nomad impact isn't about stamps, it's about connections. Every chat plants seeds, every supported local creates ripples. We're weaving trust across borders. The bartender who remembers you, the nomad you inspired, the charity you backed—that's your legacy.

Avoid the lonely nomad trap. Volunteer at a coliving or coworking space—best way to build real relationships with nomads & locals. Trade work for housing & community. Solo travelers become core members in weeks. You're contributing value & forming lasting connections.

Icod de los Vinos: Drago Millenario, a 1,000-year-old Dragon Tree. Magical botanical garden with herbs & Atlantic views. Tenerife's microclimates from sea level to Mount Teide. Brunch at Casa del Drago = bliss.

Never heard of Honor of Kings till Malaysia. It's the top mobile game with 100M daily players. Played DOTA as a Warcraft 3 mod 20 years ago. Now this Chinese MOBA makes $2.6B yearly & dominates Asia. Living here opens my eyes! Thrilled by these discoveries!

Love Apple's design, but I'm not trapped! My freedom stack:
1Password, Pocket Casts, Commander One, Storytel, Backblaze, DeepL, Ente, Brave, Spotify, Beeper, Perplexity, Hey. Each beats Apple's defaults.

What apps do you use?

Booking security issue: Owners can request your FULL card details (CVC included). My friend & I got hit; cards ended up on the dark web. Use virtual cards! Create one just for Booking. If compromised, delete & generate a new one instantly.

Forget designer chairs.

As a tall guy, I measure cafés by one thing: can I sit for 10+ minutes without back pain?

That's it.

Your trendy furniture means nothing if I'm squirming after one coffee. Great espresso won't bring me back if your chairs are torture devices.
