My Chicago neighborhood, Humboldt Park, is usually peaceful and relatively quiet, for a major city. This evening there are five helicopters hovering overhead. They are intrusive and unsettling for me, and I imagine they are terrifying for my Latino neighbors. This is all just so wrong.

My Chicago neighborhood had a big Puerto Rican festival every year, and it starts tomorrow. I’ve lived here 7 years and this is the first time there have been helicopters buzzing the area the night before. This administration knows people from PR are US citizens, right? Probably not.
