3/ India is reportedly attempting to decouple its defense industry from #Russia as it increases cooperation with Western defense companies and builds up its own defense industrial base (DIB).

Thank you Hunter Biden!
This is what we do in recovery, we admit when wrong and become willing to make amends!
I was wrong on J6 and that's why its important to not just say I'm sorry, but continue to speak up against the MAGA J6 narrative, by sharing the facts!

Let’s be clear about something, if you aren’t willing to defend yourself, nobody is going to do it for you. Don’t demand from others what you won’t do for eachother. We aren’t a service or heroes, this isn’t a marvel movie. We just are, what we are, whenever we need to be, wherever it may be.

Bluesky keeps saying domain verification is best, but still, the top 100 people with followers haven't verified their accounts.
AOC reached 1 million followers in bluesky ( first person) but she has not verified her account 😀.

Trump would never have allowed his son or any family member to be investigated by his own DOJ. He would have pardoned his family members multiple times over. Republicans don't seem to care about such matters, and Democrats should stop always taking the moral high ground and political correctness.

6/ We also hear your feedback: users want more ways to verify their identity beyond domain verification. We’re exploring additional options to enhance account verification, and we hope to share more shortly.

There is absolutely a need for non-DNS-related authenticity validation mechanisms because not everyone owns a website and much as I'd love AT Proto to spark a resurgence in the open web as a platform, short-term that's a heavy lift. But centralised registries ain't it on a decentralised network.

Bluesky is going to have a big problem if it doesn't do something about verification. Offering the same stupid system that Mastodon uses is not a solution.

It needs to be easy for accounts to use AND easy for followers to see. It is becoming a daily frustration. @jay.bsky.team @safety.bsky.app

I don’t have a problem with domain name verification but Bluesky should issue a verification badge to these people for better public understanding. It would also add an extra layer of verification, as Bluesky would check the website or domain for any kind of impersonation.

Yeap.... Anyone can also steal our data for AI training 😜 the internet is bigger than our data.

Anybody can host an account.
Anybody can run a relay.
Anybody can run an app.

The big question now is: will people do it! @pet.bun.how just did that second one. They implemented their own relay, and ran it

The Internet is bigger than one company.

New from 404 Media: Bluesky may have said it won't use user data to train generative AI, but someone else just published a dataset of million Bluesky posts for "machine learning research". Already very popular dataset, your data may be scraped www.404media.co/someone-made...

Bluesky really needs the option of posting long tweets, in my opinion, up to 1,000 words or so.

"Verified" labels managed by one dude is funny. Using my domain for a handle is good.

But please let's not kid ourselves into thinking that custom domain handles are the best we can do, we need both methods

What I like about Bluesky:
1. Decentralized protocol (Elon can't sell my data or misuse it)
2. No algorithm BS (no Elon propaganda).
3. Self-moderation (no hate speech or disinformation).
4. No ads (no annoying interruptions)
5. No bots and no trolls
6. Bluesky is the true successor to Twitter.

The flourishing new platform may be like Twitter once was. The problem is the limited algorithmic scope of all social media As I write, there’s a window on my laptop screen that is providing a live view of a stampede. It’s logging the numbers of people…
