Isla's mother has been arrested under suspicion of causing her death from ME last year (heart failure). There was no inquest. Isla's younger sister (15), who also has ME, has been removed from the only people who understand how the disease must be managed. Imagine her fear.

Yep. I thought we were heading in this direction last February when I saw this horrific eugenics advert from the Epilepsy Society saying autistics should be exterminated. Ran in major British periodicals; went completely unremarked.

The other day I went to a talk about disability and tech/AI. I keep thinking how to talk about it without naming names - I do not want it to be about specific people, but about the approach itself.
Our teen, who is sometimes described as "nonverbal" (he's not) does not like assistive tech.
