having thought it through, i just wanna be able to like/repost/quote post tweets on blyesky, and get new tweets from twitter users i follow in my blyesky feed. i don't really need any other functionality, and i certainly don't need nazi posts or replies. but the content yearns to be free

"the bad place" has a lot of good people and an absurd amount of really good content on it. we shouldn't naively dismiss that. the bad people are keeping all that hostage.

if i quote post something on x, i risk a bunch of neonazis replying to me. i'd rather be able to quote post a tweet on blyesky and just have good interactions here.

for replies to tweets, i think it should link you to the actual x url, kinda like the mastodon ui sometimes links to other instances.

in my mind you can interact with your mutuals on here *about* content published on x, by quoting and reposting it, mainly, but also your likes potentially influencing algorithms that show those things to your friends.

this is a selling point imo, i don't want the bad people interacting with me.

either way, i wish them the means they need to get over their hangups about anime, and for them to enjoy or not enjoy whatever anime they like, while leaving others in peace to enjoy what they like. wouldn't that be something. i like peace and quiet

the other way is when they pick up on something that actually is there, like with maid in abyss, where others don't notice or don't care. this results in the funny (imo, ymmv lmao) situation where the anti-lolicon is technically correct on the facts about the show, but everyone else dismisses them.
