Chicago based guy, into urbanism, politics (ughhh right now), travel and film (know a lot about animation / comics too). The former bird app is now my secondary and after a few key people leave I'm disabling it.
Leave it to the furry community to put together a good transit system to serve their own convention and areas around it. (so many transit nerds in your community) Wish ACEN (anime con) had something like this as Rosemont has this weird combo of being both dense and spread out.

Though I have a bias because Hoboken is pretty much Over the Rhine's twin if Over the Rhine never really fully declined and I've always wanted to see such a thing.

I've done it, stayed at a cheap motel in Union City right off the Lincoln Tunnel. That whole area of Jersey is really underrated IMO. Hoboken is particularly cool...

Plus Johnson seems to have a difficult time with issues outside of his wheelhouse which is labor. "Urbanist" issues - transportation housing even the stadium deal that he weirdly supported - he's been a lot weaker on.

He's not as charismatic, but I also feel like he just doesn't have raw political skills, the vibe I have right now about Mamdani is he's much better at political maneuvering, though we'll see how it plays out (even Johnson gave me red flags early on to the point where I'd put Kam over him in RCV)
