Chicago based guy, into urbanism, politics (ughhh right now), travel and film (know a lot about animation / comics too). The former bird app is now my secondary and after a few key people leave I'm disabling it.
Angels Egg is known to be an influence on Dark Souls, I wonder if that had an influence on why it was so popular?

FYI this guy @bz949.bsky.social blocked all the good faith criticism Chicagoans were dishing out to him on his post. Its frustrating when someone blocks people trying to have good faith conversations, and makes me suspicious that this guy isn't trying to in bad faith prop up Rahm Emanuel:

Finally got to check out Hoboken New Jersey a town that looks earlily similar to over the rhine in Cincinnati if it didn't decline as hard and started to turn around in the 1970s the architecture is about 70 percent similar with the Southern part feeling more like it's Ohio cousin:

One of the only reasons I peek at the other site from time to time, interesting stuff:

One more thing, this whole fast food grifter thing has its roots in an episode of Urusei Yatsura (1984) - ep 99, which is like a less indulgent more comedic take on the same stuff:

Oh and while I'm at it here are the funiculars that Cincinnati sadly tore out, what was cool and unique about many of them is that they were containers to transport streetcars up the hills:

An incline that you missed is the The Fenelon Place Elevator in Dubuque Iowa (which is an old Rivertown in the hilly driftless area of IA, IL, WI and MN):

Better example because its closer to the multimodal double decker railcars we have in the states:

This should have been what you said immediately, with out the first line:

@geoffgarin.bsky.social : If you came right out and posted this directly on your main page and also didn't treat posting it as a futile effort, showing an ounce of humility people might treat you a little bit better IMO

So you are saying you didn't say this?

Every morning in Buenos Aires I'd order a cortado and alfajore or a medialuna (croissant). Always was good, though even better were the cafes themselves where the city literally has a historic cafe preservation policy so you could have coffee in a place that looks like the below two examples:
