Everytime I get into doing a narrative analysis of material on Twitter I'm astonished by 1) just how complicated and messy narrative production really is in this environment and 2) how extraordinary it is that most users have no difficulty at all in immediately making sense of it

My latest paper is now out!

I use Heidegger's existential hermeneutics to explore the ontological relationships between translators and their equipment and environment and argue that translation can re-disclose the world, revealing it in new ways.

I'm back to work today after three months of parental leave.

I'm so glad to have done it a second time. It's been wonderful to spend quality time with my child but also so helpful to get proper insight into how it feels to be off for an extended period and then come back to work.
