Bit of excitement on the CEFAS Endeavour this morning when we saw this Fea's-type Petrel 17nm off the Cornish coast as we were heading towards Lundy to shelter for the next day or so.

LESSER KESTREL on #StKilda! Retrospectively identified from Will Miles' excellent images on 16th Sept. We'd recorded a Kestrel from 12th, possibly the same bird, but sadly not relocated today.

Soft-plumaged Petrel (light morph) off Porthgwarra this eve. 8:24pm. 13th July. Following a prompt txt from Joe Jones at 6:34 from the Lizard, this bird took 1hr 50 to reach Pg. Just five of us connected.
The 2nd uk record and 1st for Cornwall.

Of all the things I was hoping to find today in Georgia today, a Bateleur was not one of them! This juv drifted in from Azerbaijan and over David Gareja before returning that way. First for Azerbaijan and 3rd for Georgia!
