Incredible a'noon at Caister. First a Pallas's flitting through in a huge tit flock. Then another glimpsed warbler, silent & elusive. After a heard only bird at Thornham y'day I wondered if I just hallucinate Hume's Warblers. Till it popped up calling. And a Dusky calling too!

North Norfolk today. Hume’s Leaf Warbler & Barn Owl @ Holme NOA;
Pallas’s Warbler @ RSPB Titchwell where also at least 6 fabulous Firecrests. Fab day to be out in the field despite the chill wind.

"The 'reduction in enthusiasm' [for climate action] among rich nations didn’t happen by accident.

It’s the product of a deliberate and systematic assault on knowledge by some of the richest people on Earth.

Preventing climate breakdown means protecting ourselves from the storm of lies."
Climate breakdown is driven by a storm of lies. This lying is systemic, funded and coordinated, and operates across almost all media, old and new.
This week's column argues that we cannot fight the climate crisis without also fighting the epistemic crisis.

Great place to see Dipper,Redstart, flycatchers and warblers in spring.
Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Bolton Abbey lies a deceptively peaceful stretch of river known as The Strid. At first glance, it looks like a gentle brook winding through mossy rocks - but don’t be fooled!
