Got a lot of follows overnight. For the new people here, I'm Neil. I run the Montgomery-Ramsay jewellery brand and am also its lead designer.
I post a lot of pictures of cats (we take care of a small feral colony here), trees, some jewellery, and the like.

Couple of college kids just came by to try and sell new windows. I told them I wasn't interested, and they'd JUST started in with the attempted hard sell when I closed the door. Seriously. Not interested means not interested.

Finally got ahold of UPS to find out what the holdup is. They're awaiting an affidavit that the diamonds in my shipment are not mined in Russia.
There are no diamonds in my shipment.

Stock was supposed to arrive for the launch today. UPS has it trapped in limbo and can't tell me why. FedEx is refusing to honour their insurance claim. Can't even run the errands I needed to run today because the governmental office I needed to his is closed on Mondays now. I'm just going to fidget

You know, I was pretty well against having more than 2 cats in the house, like, ever. But I have to say, having these 4 boys in here -- this weirdly close-knit family unit I've never really seen before in cats... it's lovely. It brightens my day just seeing how they interact. They're good lads.

FedEx has denied the insurance claim on the basis that I am unable to prove that FedEx was at fault for the losses (despite submitting photos of the way the package arrived, torn and retaped), and that I am unable to prove which items went missing from the box.

This grand fellow, my father, is 98 today. I never expected to have my dad around this late into my life. He was the oldest dad amongst my friends (having had me in his mid 40s). But I'm so thankful I get to celebrate another of his birthdays with him.

A rare sighting of Joe from back in 2017. 7 years before he would become a housecat. This was just after a fight with another cat in the garden. Joe emerged victorious.
Not sure if this was before or after his car accident, but I'm inclined to think before because of his mouth. Hard to say, though

I feel like the beginning of the AI bubble was easily fueled by the corporate shift from doing the work needed to support a business to farming out everything possible, turning so many businesses into little more than an idea farm with a sales team and nothing else. "How can we cut more people!"

Just saw someone selling a custom 'Permanent Jewelry' neon sign that they had in their store. I'm always surprised when that weird fad is still going on. Don't get me wrong... I love that it's led to some newer designs and companies putting out pulse-arc welders, but still...

A brief warning to anyone using a QNAP NAS. Do not use their caching implementation. It's been 3 weeks, and we're still fighting to restore information after a cache drive died, causing the data volumes to wipe themselves. Even with support, we're having to wipe/reinstall/restore EVERYthing again.

The last of the new batch (still around -- there was an orange with them, but we've not seen him since June, so I suspect he is no more). Sayah, our little wandering, shadowy tortie. She's a primary concern for our TNR because... I mean... girl. Hope we're not too late.
