I do love the way they look. Simple, but not 'run of the mill.' I don't think people do enough fun things with stud settings. Mostly because studs are an excuse to use VERY little metal and still have a stone. But I'm a METAL worker... I gotta have some metal in there...

Thanks, Molly. We'll get through. We've still got our feral's three brothers and their old caretaker tomcat here, and it will be their first Xmas indoors, so there will be some cheer, I hope. And my heart and soul calico who's been with me her whole life is still with us. Just not quite the same.

I’m sorry. Last year, we lost one of our ferals and I had to bury her on Xmas eve. This year is our first without our elder rescue tortie, and it’s not very cheerful. Hugs. Lots of hugs.

They'd just agree with you and launch into a spiel about how their products are different, etc, etc. Best to just... not engage. Despite how tantalizing it is sometimes to just want to proselytise...

It is. Very stressful. But the worst part is I can't DO anything about it. I can't make calls or go to some office and speak to anyone. I just have to wait... because none of these places have any actual customer service anymore. It's like if you have a problem with a Gmail account. Maddening.

We have some other abandoned kittens from the same litter as each other outside at the moment, and they pretty much never even see each other. But these kids were together ALL the time. Playing, watching over each other, etc. VERY different dynamic from most feral litters I've known.

I suspect a lot of them would be incredible prosaic. But some would be absolutely fascinating. Named musical instruments get this. But yeah... I think it would be very cool to know the log of history of the old items we see. So much moreso than "made in a factory and shipped to you via UPS."

It's weirdly not uncommon, either. The concept of copyright isn't something they care about if there's a buck to be turned. There's even a big caster in town that literally steals people's designs they send in for casting and makes new ones for other people.
