The amount of renewable energy capacity (585 GW) that was added to the grid last year was 12x greater than for non-renewables (47 GW) #ElectrifyEverything #FossilFuelsAreStrandedAssets 🧪🔌💡☀️💨🔋 www.axios.com/2025/03/26/r...
Renewables expanded globally last year, but not fast enough
Meeting the 2030 target will take an even faster rate of expansion.

Those at the frontlines of the climate crisis are bound to find more sustainable and effective solutions indeed.

Necessity is the mother of invention after all
Project Drawdown’s previous work has shown that human well-being and climate are linked, and solutions can work double duty to improve the livelihoods of populations and reduce emissions. drawdown.org/insights/her...
Here’s how low- and middle-income countries will be the leaders of a better, more sustainable future

You shouldn’t finish every book you start.

Abandoning a book is not an admission of failure—it’s a sign of wisdom. You’ve decided to let go of sunk costs.

The purpose of reading is to be entertained and informed. If a book doesn't bring joy or insight, it’s time to move on.

This is very, very important.

While the food system contributes about 22-34% of the world’s greenhouse gases — it only gets about 2.5-3% of the climate funding.

And most of that food system climate funding goes to the wrong solutions.

Global rivers are shifting:

headwaters now carry more water, while downstream flows diminish.

This upstream surge has driven a 42% increase in 100-year floods in smaller streams since 1984.

A changing hydrosphere, revealed in stunning detail. #ClimateChange #Rivers #water
Wild #river news—a global survey looking at 3 million rivers over the past 35 years shows the annual flow of water dropped in 44% of the world’s largest downstream rivers while many headwater streams grew. The impact on everything from sediment to irrigation are vast

More flow upstream and less flow downstream: The changing form and function of global rivers
We mapped daily streamflow from 1984 to 2018 in approximately 2.9 million rivers to assess recent changes to global river systems. We found that river outlets were dominated by significant decreases i...
