Battery electric cars sold in the EU today produce 73% less life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions than ICE vehicles, even when considering emissions of battery production. Hybrid & plug-in hybrid cars offer only 20% and 30% lower lifetime emissions.

The primary energy fallacy is the idea that all primary energy from fossil fuels must be replaced with equivalent amount of clean energy.
