sorry but i did a lot of the trial shit and i got laughed at bc i tried the bard beta and i (drunkenly) asked it for the train times home (assuming all it would need to do is scrape the results and compile it together for me) and i was left stranded bc the train station was closed and it was wrong 😭

There is no justifiable reason to ever send me an email. Ever. If your message is urgent you may appear to me in a dream or as an image on a slice of toast, and I will get back to you.

1. I saw a lot of people on Bluesky yesterday poking fun at Lindsay Graham saying that the U.S. would use financial sanctions to "crush" the economies of allies who tried to help the ICC. Graham is characteristically grotesque in his language, but I'm not laughing myself.
Graham: So to any ally, Canada, Britain, Germany, France, if you try to help the ICC, we're going to sanction you.

The only thing i need from video games now is mundane petty stakes quests, I've grown tired of universe ending threats and just wish to steal pumpkins from nearby humans.

nothing I hate more (in this specific moment) than the slow death of the text walkthrough, I don't want to stutter through some dumbass video with 8,000 ads to figure out where the golden secrets are in Fuckshit 2024. I just need a picture and a small paragraph, please god.

Not sure who needs to read this but you can send a script to the background and ensure it doesn’t get SIGHUP when you logout with

ctrl+z
bg
disown

Or you could run it in byobu/screen but sometimes you forget after a long day.

@jeffgeerling.com just thought I’d reach out and thank you, 4 years ago I was a jr sysadmin and your guide to ansible helped me work my way up to senior and leading our dev ops team.

In all my years working with Linux I never once had a reason to use crontab -r, I always assumed there would be a prompt because who in their right mind would put the flag to delete next to the flag to edit. Anyway on an unrelated note pulling down backups at the moment.

Hows your day going? #linux

Disregard containers, they’ve been lying to us and playing us for fools. Embrace hardcoded changes through vim, use cli connections to your database and make changes without transaction blocks. Embrace minimalism and reject GUI.
