When I suggested that Latin America's high rate of femicides are primarily due to its exceptionally high violence, some pushed back.

But Claudia Sheinbaum has reduced violence, and this has simultaneously led to a decline in femicides.

Just finished @profaliceroberts.bsky.social excellent book: Domination. My favourite work by her so far. Its thesis is presented so well that it appears obvious. It will of course have its detractors who cannot discuss any religion without giving it sacral status. The loss is theirs.
