First attempt at an oil painting on copper. Swamp Structure (3), 5x7 inches. Painted at the Golden Foundation residency in June.
I saw this yesterday and it was one of the most incredible shows I've seen. Kind of live animation. An assembly line of overhead projectors and cells being manipulated furiously but with precision, animators swapping out to be in the projections themselves.

Got an art scam message that I nearly replied to. Looked up their IP address and it's from SpaceX Services in Nigeria.

Is it someone just using their IP or someone who works for SpaceX looking to make a little cash with scams.

Are holograms hard to make? Just got a notification about this exhibit at MIT and it got me thinking about making holograms myself.

My new oil paintings have a slightly gritty texture in the dark areas, which makes them almost impossible to photograph well. Endless thanks to photographer Julia Featheringill, who handles texture and glare better than anyone I know.

Found this painting fits perfectly into this insane frame I've had for years. For "Resting Place" an exhibition with @m-ryczek.bsky.social opening Sept 20th at 13FOREST
