It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.
Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

It occurred to me that many Americans are experiencing for the first time a feeling that Black, brown, and Indigenous people have had since forever. Fear and distrust of this government.

I read this book awhile back and was thinking how its fiction and I was thinking no way this could happen, but now it's a book of possibilities. Christian fundamentalism takes over the US and in the end wipes out everything in the middle east. The last chapter tho!
