I’m biased, but I think NC would make a good first primary state. It’s actually competitive in elections and offers a diverse primary electorate that has every section of the Democratic coalition.

The district has not elected a Republican since 1882, but it gave Trump 51% of the vote last year. Davis held on by less than two points.

NC-01 is still majority-minority (48% White, 39% Black, 8% Hispanic) but is more likely to elect a Republican than ever. Will it flip?

NC-01 is the only competitive congressional district in our state. It is composed of the NE corner of the state with a portion stretching down to Goldsboro and Kinston. New district lines and changing demographics have made it more competitive than ever...

Roberson, the mayor of Rocky Mount, announced his campaign April 23. He ran for this seat in 2022 and put a decent chunk of his own money in that time.

Davis, first elected in 2022, is not officially in the race yet. He is apparently interested in running for US Senate.

Stein is also popular with unaffiliated voters, the largest voting bloc in the state. 56% approve while 19% disapprove, while 25% holding no opinion.

He's literally above water in every single demo, even the "very conservative" ones.

Meanwhile, Josh Stein is broadly popular in his second month in office. Among Dems, 66% approve and 16% disapprove. (19% no opinion)

But among Republicans? *54%* say they approve of the job Stein has done so far while only 24% say they disapprove. (22% no opinion)

Not only that, but snow games are incredible and literally can only happen in the NFL. No other pro sport plays in raw weather conditions like this.

Okay, that’s enough for my daily rant about domed NFL stadiums
