Once my current 5e party learns of their BBEG's general location, an NPC will offer an incomplete map—my first hex map! I'm excited because I've been wanting to start playing more of an OSR-style. Hopefully the players can drive the action more this way. Doubly, I hope I my map is good!

My first experience with a mimic was in dark souls 3, in the room underneath the dragon on the High Wall of Lothric. In DS3, they have a tell (which direction the chain is facing).

I've wanted to implement them in d&d for a long time, but haven't quite graduated from low-level play.

Three reasons I'm really looking forward to running Mausritter:
1. I've never run a #TTRPG that's not #D&D.
2. My favorite part of TTRPGs as a GM is when the narrative advances. D&D combat is fun when things click, but it still takes a long time.
