I wish I had known Scott was such a raging Zionist before I ever started listening to @pivotpod.bsky.social it’s really disappointing. And how @karaswisher.bsky.social deals with it is beyond me. Genocide denialism at its finest.

Five lives lost and five injured in a school shooting in Wisconsin this morning—just nine days before Christmas. The shooter was a child.

Heartbreaking and entirely preventable. American children do not deserve to live or die this way.

I interviewed trans teens across the U.S.—including L.W., the 16-year-old at the heart of U.S. v. Skrmetti—on their fears and anxieties about the threat of gender-affirming care bans and a looming Trump admin.

"Trans healthcare is suicide prevention, at its core."

This was a manufactured doubt campaign by the Times to enable this specific outcome. It was clear this was a priority for the editorial staff. Every one of these stories got prominent placement and push notifications.
in hindsight the NYT anti-trans crusade is one of the most despicable things that any big time journalism outfit in this country has ever done. a perfect and clearly intentional layup for the fascists on the Supreme Court

When that kind of political recourse is made impossible by those same business elites, it breaks the social contract and people start engaging in this exact sort of violence.

This kind of violence and celebration of it portends a broader breakdown in the social order.

You do this by ensuring that the kinds of practices that these companies get away with aren't legal in the first place. Entire business entities exist solely to deny healthcare. They should not exist in the first place.

I don't think the business elites understand just how much they're hated. Today's assassination and rampant celebration of it is a window into America's soul. I think it's going to send shockwaves among top CEO's who will now spend exhorbitant amounts on security, further isolating them from society

We’re supposed to follow the laws that they ignore? How much immoral business behavior are we supposed to withstand? How many avoidable deaths are too many?
The rule of law isn’t currently helping us in the way it should.
You have to hope that the united healthcare ceo was shot over a domestic or personal dispute. We can’t just give up on the rule of law.
