Meath Chronicle fast going down the route of clickbait garbage articles. Here they are calling local traffic wardens in Navan "Gestapos on patrol" – for literally doing their job and ticketing illegally parked vehicles.

Of course, they since changed it since we first called it out on Friday.

Very strange to see these new road yield markings on Old Cornmarket, Navan. Are these really needed on a pedestrianised street? The montage image below shows what was proposed for here, and these markings seem completely over the top and unnecessary.

New ‘Blackwater River, Navan Town Park Bridge & Cycleway’ unveiled. This will make it much more easier for pedestrians and cyclists to access Blackwater Park, coming from the town centre. It will also help to reduce vehicular congestion, as well as provide another link to the #BVLGreenway

We were just looking at plans for a LIDL development extension in Navan (which currently has terrible bike parking). Includes 8 covered bike spaces + 2 other non-covered racks near the two entrances. Seems quite good (if approved).

🙌 Starting soon! It's fantastic to see that work on the R147 Martha’s Bridge to Circular Road Scheme is due to start. 🤩

As we've mentioned before, this is a high quality public realm enhancement scheme that will bring some much needed improvements to the main Dublin Road into Navan.

In terms of the most dangerous urban roundabout, the Andy Connolly roundabout in Navan has to be up there. A dual carriageway coming off the M3, with heavy pedestrian traffic to the retail park (St Pats school nearby too). Extremely hostile to all road users.

We had a very good and well-used stand on Kennedy Plaza, but that is no longer there after the recent works (previous image). Similarly, the sheltered stand on Fair Green is gone. We have asked Meath County Council what is happening with this, and hope to see covered, secure parking in Navan soon.

Seek shelter! While the good weather is here and it's great to see lots of people cycling to town (see following 2 pics - 2 full bike racks outside Navan Shopping centre yesterday!), we also need sheltered bike stands in Navan Town Centre.

The question is, where is our sheltered bike parking gone?
