BREAKING: Isle of Man's upper house has passed a bill to strip the vote of the CofE bishop given an automatic seat. A landmark moment for IoM – with implications for Westminster. There's no justification for giving clerics ex officio seats – time for them to go.

Parents have expressed outrage after children were given explicit, homophobic leaflets while trick-and-treating in Greater Manchester.

The leaflets came from a registered charity. Can this group really be considered to be serving the public benefit?
