Great! Now for Westminster. Having 26 bishops with automatic voting rights as a special privilege because of the CofE's place in our constitution is a hangover from 14th century medieval England. In a modern democracy, no religious group should have reserved seats. humanists.uk/2025/11/05/b...

Brilliant race.

Absolutely. I support an adult's right to do whatever they want to their own bodies, but mutilation of children is never acceptable.

There are few things quite as heartbreaking as seeing young children taken advantage of like this. Time society started to properly protect the young and vulnerable from religious groups and proselytising.

The absurdity and arrogance of thinking that what she imagines a completely hypothetical god wants constitutes any form of rational point. But she is right, some lives are not worth living. And forcing people to carry on a futile and painful existence is simply cruel.
"If passed, this Bill will signal that we are a society that believes that some lives are not worth living."

Yesterday, the Bishop of London, along with other bishops, shared her concerns about the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill in the House of Lords.

Assisted suicide law would make this a country that says ‘some lives are not worth living' – Bishop of London | The Church of England
Legalising assisted suicide in England and Wales would irrevocably “change society” , the Bishop of London has warned the House of Lords.

So the thing that everyone who knew what they were talking about said would happen, happened. The legislation we said was crap turned out to be crap legislation. Is it too much to ask for competent ministers?
“Of course we need age-verification on VPNs.”

Children’s Commissioner for England Rachel de Souza says children should not be allowed to use Virtual Private Networks, as they are often used to access pornography.

It is heartbreaking to see young children praying. It's a failure of safeguarding and education, with absolutely no benefit, other than to the institutions that seek to indoctrinate the young.
A new research book by Anna Strhan and Rachel Shillitoe has concluded that non-religious children led lives rich with joy, wonder, and the expression of strong moral values. The authors reported that their young lives were permeated with what they called a ‘pervasive humanism’.

Still genuinely gutted that Ozzy has left us. The man is one of the few that truly deserves the title Legend.
"I think what Ozzy did with Back to the Beginning was beautiful, a true act of defiance, where his eternal soul told his current 76-year-old body to 'fuck off' so as he could do what he needed to do so badly."

We've responded to a Department of Health consultation by calling for boys to be protected from non-therapeutic male circumcision, a surgery that should only be performed by doctors and, when it comes to children, only with medically necessity.
