As they own more and more of their chip IP and their BoM becomes primarily fab costs they’re going to be a nightmare to compete with.

The main thing that they need to do is have their low cost machine on an earlier generation process node, cheaper screens, smaller battery.

My M1 MacBook Pro still meets my needs (and I’m pretty demanding as a developer!) just fine.

They’re playing with house money on the performance curve right now for a huge portion of users.

Anything in Mamdani’s range is his job if he wants it. There’s a reason why the election day march across Brooklyn Bridge was led by him and Tish James.

But he hasn’t said anything about what job he wants, and there are a number of people in the New York political machine who need to be retired.
