As usual the only chance of things changing for the better is if players use their power to change it but they want the money just as much as the owners sadly

Interestingly dunks and threes has the schedule adjusted net ratings for Houston as 2nd in offense 3rd in defense.

Susprising to me as I considered it to have been a fairly easy schedule to start but tankathon also has us with the 3rd easiest the rest of the way
#Rockets since 0-2 start:

9-1 record
1st in offensive rating, 8th in defensive rating

Kevin Durant
25.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.7 apg, 50.6 FG%, 39.6 3PT%

Alperen Sengun
22.0 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 7.5 apg, 50.0 FG%, 42.9 3PT%

Orlando had real success doing this last night on Sengun. Single coverage, Wendell Carter had him in jail. Kudos to Alpi for pushing through and taking advantage once he got in foul trouble (and working the boards) but this is the blueprint.

Thankfully we have KD lol.
Sengun isn't getting to the rim and he's shooting 48.2% from 2. If I were playing Houston I'd just guard him straight up, no doubles. He still hasn't proved he can reliably score against the big, stout interior defenders who don't foul.

Somebody who doesn't follow me replied to this saying 'nope - not won anything' and then claimed "Jaylen" Green has had more to do with the Suns' success than Brooks this year.

Has NBA Bluesky finally arrived?
Dillon Brooks was a huge part of monumental rebuilds in Memphis and Houston and now he seems to be helping Phoenix fix a toxic culture.

Outside of the obvious stars, is Dillon Brooks one of the most valuable players in the NBA?

5-4: This is hell, I am sick, Kevin Durant is a Warrior plant

6-3: My boys, my beautiful boys!

Rivers had Milwaukee spam the same play with a shooter curling off Giannis at the FT line about 15 times in a row and Houston figured it out and the Bucks had nothing after that

Alperen Sengun, Always
November 9, 2025 at 11:03 PM
AJ Green just attempted a backdoor cut so hard which would have given him an open dunk and Okogie completely denied him. Considering he's a 49% shooter you need to stick to and overplay - incredible defensive work
November 9, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Hell fucking yeah Reed
November 9, 2025 at 10:34 PM
And that's why you don't challenge fts on a 63% ft shooter when you don't even get the ball back
November 9, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Reed now shooting 49% from 3 for the season
November 9, 2025 at 10:18 PM
When you watch a Rockets player drive into help at the ft line for the 17th time today I hope you take back everything bad you ever said about my sweet prince Fred VanVleet

This is why shooting 3s is important, you can play like ass for 15 minutes and get yourself back in it with 3 makes. Their next trade(s) has to be about getting in more pullup threats
November 9, 2025 at 9:30 PM
Please God let Reed get good on defense cause the shooting is electric
November 9, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Kevin Durant not defeating the undercover cop allegations
November 9, 2025 at 9:22 PM
This is absolutely embarrassing
November 9, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Yeah I think Houston is missing their point guard
November 9, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Unfortunately I think Clint as a rim protector has been a shadow of himself for a few years
This team isn't good enough defensively to cover for having both Adams and Reed on the floor. Even the '04 Pistons couldn't pull that off. Ime needs to find a way to stagger them and use Capela more #Rockets
November 9, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Rockets on course to shoot 16 3s tonight after the end of the first quarter.

Losing the maths battle yet again
November 9, 2025 at 9:05 PM
It seems like a lot of fans are misdiagnosing Houston's defensive issues as a problem with zone when they are actually in man to man and messing up on scram switches
November 9, 2025 at 9:03 PM
Houston shot 48% from deep last night yet the Spurs still made 5 more because the Rockets attempted 27 of them and the Spurs shot 45.

It's insane anyone thinks a team can compete for anything if they regularly give up that kind of advantage.
November 8, 2025 at 2:38 PM
I think this is unfortunately a really astute observation. You can really imagine what the bad version of this offense might look like in the playoffs
If the #Rockets are going to revert to a tentative slow ass deliberate offense every time they're in a big game its going a long year...
