Heck, they contradict their own claims in this very piece! What’s the point they’re trying to make, again?
“First, there’s Dynamic Duo, an animated movie about Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, the first and second people to become Batman’s sidekick Robin. Although both Dick and Jason can be made into darker, more violent characters—see any number of Nightwing and Red Hood comics, or the recent TV series Titans—the fact that Dynamic Duo is being directed by Matthew Aldrich of Coco and Lightyear makes one think that kids will be the primary audience. Then, there’s the fact that both The Batman Part II and Batman: The Brave and the Bold are being made. The former is, of course, a grounded crime picture from Matt Reeves and the latter is, presumably, a more straightforward superhero tale, with Robin returning to live action. IMDb trivia: “In the nightclub, Marlowe (James Garner) takes a sip of wine and, smirking, judges it to be "impertinent... even baroque." These were the exact words which a character in Gore Vidal's Myra Breckinridge (published a year earlier) had used to describe Garner's butt in an excerpt from an obtuse film journal which appeared in the novel. Obviously, this was an inside joke and from Garner's smarmy delivery of what was otherwise a pointless remark, he was very much in on the gag.”

I’m fascinated by how awful this AI “book” on BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN is. The heteros on the front with weirdly smooshed faces—the gloopy hands—so fascinated that I initially missed the fact that it’s about Brokeback “Mouintain”.

Everyone is dunking on poor Nancy French, but it’s because she deserves it. One of the greatest comforts of modern civilization is the fact that you don’t have to talk to strangers if you don’t want to.
