I grew up reading all of those old books. I so loved the heavy paper and beautiful illustrations. In retrospect, I also realized how much just went right over my head.

They are a true delight and I am sad for everyone who has missed these in their lives. Though I have tried to read Moominvalley in November a multitude of times since I was a kid, and have never ever been able to finish it.

I will give anyone who shows up at my door candy. Preferably they have a costume, but honestly, teens put in the world participating in longstanding traditions is a fundamentally good thing, costume or no.
