Current question in my household is whether I’m the only person who stores up blown eggs in the run-up to Easter. And then I store the best for display the next year. Anyone else? 🍽️ 🎨

First time in many years I’ve made the coconut bread from @smittenkitchen.bsky.social, and it is as easy and delicious as ever! (Bonus—delicious w raspberry jam from homegrown berries). 🍽️

It took me three different patterns (and a lot of unraveling) to find the right match for this beautiful skein I was gifted at Christmas, but I’m happy with this cowl as the final result! 🧶

Another St. Patrick’s day ready with soda bread and a batch of Philly’s own cinnamon potatoes. They look unassuming but are tasty coconut sugar bombs.

I tried a one skein pattern but my skein was too small for the full shawl. I’m trying to figure out if it is workable as-is—what do y’all think? Maybe add a button and make it an asymmetrical shrug? Otherwise, I’m pulling it all out and making a hat!

Right before New Years, I fractured my wrist ice skating. Five weeks, three splints and a surgery later, I’ve got my hand back. Happily for me, crocheting is good PT. Just finished my first creation of 2025. 🧶

Every year for Valentine’s Day I make chocolate covered cherries. This winter, I broke my arm and thought we’d skip, but the kids insisted they would help (Reader, they did not. Much). So I have about 350 of these babies chilling in the freezer, and we will all be happier for it. 🍽️🍒🍫

I really like this pattern (it hides my mistakes well!); I used it with a soft bulky yarn first, and then tried this lighter weight gold yarn (the light makes it look green) which is even prettier.

We found an unmarked container in the freezer and after defrosting were reasonably sure it was pumpkin pie filling. But did I freeze it ready to use? Did eggs need to be added? Is it actually supposed to turn into something else?
I went with pie—we’ll see later today if that was the right choice.🍽️

🧶 Been crocheting about a year and madly working through a pile of yarn to make scarves as all my holiday gifts this year. Just finished this one (plus a hat!) for my best friend.
