I quite love that my 50 year old vinyl Doobie Brothers album must necessarily be knocked out of a skip loop to keep going.

Just needs a little pat. You can do it!

There does not seem to be a home assistant package for holiday seasons, like for showing spooky lights during the weeks before halloween.

I wonder if I should make this but what if I get issues like “Christmas ends on new years day! Not new years eve!”

Maybe someone has already figured this out.

Trying to set up Windows for a low tech family member and just disgraceful how many trials you have to skip on top of this account business. So many things they assume you have to buy because it’s suggested.
Microsoft is plugging more holes that let you use Windows 11 without an online account. Microsoft really doesn’t want you creating a local account on Windows 11. Full details on the changes 👇 www.theverge.com/news/793579/...

Self driving cars are such a cool technology, but I just was driven past by a certain electric car in a crosswalk intersection where the driver was watching a TikTok leaned back pretty far.

Maybe it was totally fine. I’m just not ready for this at all.

Did you know your MacBook has a sensor that knows the exact angle of the screen hinge?

It’s not exposed as a public API, but I figured out a way to read it and make it sound like an old wooden door.

On paper, I love that iOS auto complete and voice to text is more private. But changing my sentences last minute to a totally nonsensical result makes me stop caring for a second.

I miss the days when I could slap away swipes on Google Keyboard, and it would just figure everything out perfectly.

The freeze is now paused.

Our case continues, and the restraining order is in effect until further notice.

For companies working on AI programming automation, how are they handling technical debt as product requirements change?

To me, programming is often the easy part. Building something to meet the demands of a product team that changes over time is the real work.

I ever get a chance to work low enough in the stack to work on mobile keyboard input, I wanna make it so that pressing shift on a selection of a word capitalizes it. This is such a pain on mobile.

I enjoy doing timelapses, this Summer I grew pumpkins for the 1st time and put cameras on them to document their growth.

Here a pumpkin vine moves as it grows, I find plants to be fascinating and learnt so much from the pumpkin plants which grew to 30ft long and took over 1/3 of the garden.
