A Captagon laboratory was uncovered in Qerdaha (E. #Latakia), Assad's hometown.

Weapons were also seized and one individual arrested.

Obviously Israel will also be a huge obstacle to an unified Syria as shown by their recent large scale attacks and their incursion...
The SDF withdrew from Manbij and there are already reports of war crimes committed by the SNA in the city's streets and hospitals (including videos of executions).
I think the SNA will be the biggest obstacle for the unification and pacification of Syria.

I'm curious about the possible cooperation btw HTS and other rebel factions, especially those around Daraa south of Syria. My guess is that there is close to none right now but could be wrong. It'll be interesting to see how they interact when/if they meet on the ground.

An interesting thing to look at if the Assad regime does fall is what will become of Captagon. I suspect production will grow in Iraq, Turkey, Soudan and will probably stay important in Syria but to a lesser extent.

Groups in south Syria (Daraa) have woken up and started attacking the regime. The SDF is on the move in deir ez Zor, doesn't sound too good for Assad

#Breaking the Syrian Military (through the official news agency of the regim) announces that Syrian troops have been withdrawn from the city of #Hama to "preserve the lives of civilians in Hama and not to involve them in battles inside the cities"

Looks like it's going well for HTS in and around Hama, if the regime's defensive line breaks, we might see fast progress from them until they reach Homs.
It looks like the Syrian army and Iraqis militias are stretch thin by the SDF around Deir ez Zor which prevent them on focusing solely on Hama.

Multiple reports in #Syria now suggests the opposition is starting to isolate #Hama, capturing villages and defensive positions to the east and west of the city.

Looks like they will attack the city in the coming days if not hours.

The SDF is evacuating from tell Rifaat but it looks like it's going to stay in Sheikh Maqsoud in Aleppo. This might indicate a deal with HTS. Now that the regime seems to have reorganized and stopped the rebels advance, HTS might put pressure on the SNA to focus on the regime.

The offensive seems to be slowing down for now in Syria. The regime has managed to reorganize and blocked HTS offensive North of Hama. Some attacks in the south by rebel groups (around Daraa) but nothing major for now. If the regime manages to keep Hama it could reorganize with support from Russia.

There are some reports that the SDF are preparing to fight the regime around Deir ez Zor and maybe elsewhere.

This seems plausible, their unofficial alliance with Assad was far from strong and now that the survival of the regime is unsure they have a lot to benefit from this.
