As long as the SNA exists, the SDF or at least YPG will refuse to disband to assure the protection of their communities. In turn, Turkey will want to keep them as weak as possible.

If HTS is smart they'll know that they can't do without cooperating with these factions and the SDF but they might want to keep their hegemony in Syria. This will be central for the future of the country post Assad.

It looks to me that the situation is too catastrophic and neither Iran nor Russia is ready to put too much men, money, and equipment to save Assad. They might abandon him. But of course we'll see in the very near future.

Also it's important to note that the Syrian army's retreat from Hama could be a strategy to then bomb the city and the rebels before launching a counter offensive.

But its efforts are limited by the SNA who, according to reports, is abusing local communities in their new Territories. This could lead to a conflict between the two groups in the near future.

Meanwhile HTS tries its best to show a good face to the international community and Syrians minorities with numerous statements trying to reassure both of these groups.

I have trouble understanding what's happening in south Syria (Daraa and Suwayda). Some groups are active there and have conducted some operations but they clearly don't have the same capacities as HTS. Now that the offensive in the North has stalled I think they will calm down to avoid retaliation.

Of course it's not confirmed but this wouldn't be surprising.
